From October to December in 2025, a joint China- Egypt archaeological mission comprising the Shandong Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, the School of Archaeology and Museology of Peking University, and Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) uncovered significant clues to the long-lost Temple of Ptah, constructed by Pharaoh Apries of the 26th Dynasty,n the northern sector of the Memphis archaeological zone, not far from the Great Pyramid of Khufu. For over a century. international archaeological teams had searched in vain for the remains of this temple.
