"Yellow River Meets the Nile"

From October to December 2025, a joint China-Egypt archaeological mission consisting of the Shandong Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, the School of Archaeology and Museology of Peking University, and Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) uncovered important clues to the long-lost Temple of Ptah. Built by Pharaoh Apries of the 26th Dynasty, the temple lies in the northern part of the Memphis archaeological zone, not far from the Great Pyramid of Khufu. For more than a century, international archaeological teams searched in vain for its ruins. Now, thanks to the joint efforts of Chinese and Egyptian experts, it is set to re-emerge from the sands.
